Job Title: General Manager / Chief Operating Officer (GM/COO)

Location: Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

• The General Manager / Chief Operating Officer (GM/COO) will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of GCNL, ensuring that the company’s strategy is translated into executable plans and measurable results.
• The role requires strong leadership, operational oversight, financial discipline, and the ability to coordinate multiple subsidiaries and teams.
• The GM/COO will report directly to the Managing Director

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of GCNL and its subsidiaries
• Translate strategic objectives into operational plans and KPIs
• Coordinate and supervise departmental and subsidiary performance
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and corporate governance requirements
• Drive operational efficiency, cost control, and process optimization
• Support business development initiatives and key negotiations
• Oversee project execution, timelines, and quality standards
• Prepare periodic operational and performance reports for the MD/Board
• Lead and mentor management-level staff.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field (MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is an advantage)
• Minimum of 10–15 years’ relevant experience, with at least 10 years in a senior management role
• Strong background in real estate, construction, infrastructure, or professional services
• Proven experience in operations management and strategic execution
• Strong financial and commercial acumen.
