Vitalvida is a growing e-commerce company based in Lagos. We sell via landing pages and social media, operating a Cash-on-Delivery (COD) model with third-party delivery agents across Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Telesales Agent

Location: Oyingbo, Ebute Metta, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

The Role

• We're rebuilding our operations team and need hungry, hardworking telesales agents who can convert leads into paid deliveries.
• You are the first voice the customer hears. Your job is to call every lead fast, confirm orders, assign delivery agents, and follow up until the customer pays and receives their goods. You'll also handle customer inquiries on WhatsApp and resolve basic complaints.
• This is a performance-based role. You eat what you kill. If you're lazy, you'll earn ₦80,000. If you're a killer, you'll earn ₦250,000+. Your choice.

What You'll Do Daily
Lead Response (Speed is Everything):

• Receive leads as they come in — first come, first serve
• Call every lead within 5 minutes (leads turn red at 5 mins, get reassigned at 10 mins)
• No cherry-picking — you call what you're assigned
• Upload call recording for every call (mandatory)

Order Confirmation:

• Call customer to verify they actually ordered
• Confirm: name, phone number, delivery address, products ordered
• Verify customer is ready to pay on delivery
• Weed out fake orders, wrong numbers, and time-wasters
• Convert "maybe" into "yes"

Delivery Agent Assignment:

• Select the right DA based on customer location
• Send order details to DA via WhatsApp
• Coordinate delivery timing with customer

Customer Communication (WhatsApp):

• Send order confirmations to customers via WhatsApp
• Respond to customer inquiries professionally — no "pls kindly do the needful"
• Handle complaints: "Where is my order?" / "DA hasn't called me"
• Write clear, friendly messages — like a human being, not a government office

Follow-Up (You Own the Order Until It's Paid):

• Check with DA daily on delivery status
• Call customer if delivery is delayed
• Resolve issues: wrong address, reschedule, customer not available
• Handle objections: "I changed my mind," "I don't have money today"
• Push for same-day or next-day delivery

Closing the Sale:

• Ensure DA delivers and collects payment
• Confirm order is paid and delivered before moving on
• Your commission is only earned when cash reaches the company

Scoring System (How You Earn):

Points = Money. Top performers earn top money. Bottom performers get left behind.

Compensation Structure

Realistic Earnings:

Our target: 80% delivery success rate. If you hit it consistently, you'll earn well.

Who We're Looking For
Required — You MUST Have:

• 1-3 years telesales or call center experience
• Experience in COD e-commerce (landing page/social media sales) — NOT Jumia/Konga
• Proven ability to convert leads into sales over the phone
• Excellent written English — you'll chat with customers on WhatsApp daily. No "pls kindly revert back" nonsense. Write like a human, not a robot.
• Fluent in English and Pidgin (Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa is a plus)
• Able to handle customer service issues — complaints, delivery delays, refund requests. You'll do some of this too.
• Fast talker, fast thinker — you can handle objections
• Honest — you don't log fake calls or inflate numbers
• Resilient — you can hear "no" 50 times and still call the 51st lead
• Smartphone with WhatsApp for coordination
• Live within easy commute to Oyingbo/Ebute Metta

Dealbreakers (Don't Apply If):

• You've never worked in COD e-commerce
• You write WhatsApp messages like "Pls kindly revert back to us sir/ma" — we need clear, human communication
• You expect to sit and wait for "good leads"
• You think telesales is just reading a script
• You can't handle pressure and targets
• You're not comfortable with commission-based pay
• You can't handle customer complaints politely

Strong Advantage:

• Experience with health/wellness, beauty, or gadget products
• Previously hit 80%+ confirmation-to-delivery rate
• Know how to handle "I didn't order this" and "I'll pay later" objections
• Experience working with delivery agents

Working Hours:

• Monday to Saturday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
• Leads pause at 5pm — timer resumes at 9am next day
• No overnight shifts, but you must be sharp during work hours

Work Environment:

• Office-based at Oyingbo, Ebute Metta (no remote work)
• You'll be on the phone 6-7 hours a day
• Fast-paced, target-driven environment
• Leaderboard ranking — everyone sees everyone's performance

• Base salary: N80,000 - N100,000/month (based on experience)

• The application form will ask about your COD e-commerce experience, your conversion rates, and how you handle difficult customers. Only people with real telesales experience can answer properly.
• If you've never worked in COD e-commerce telesales, this role is not for you.

• Your income depends on your performance — no performance, no bonus
• We track everything — calls, conversions, response times, ignored leads
• We will read your WhatsApp messages to customers — write professionally
• Lazy agents get surcharges and eventually let go
• Hungry agents get promoted and earn big
