Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Coordinator
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Roles & Responsibilities
Oversee the implementation, monitoring, and optimization of the fleet-wide maintenance management system (PMS) to ensure maximum asset availability and operational reliability of all vessels under management — including Fast Intervention Security Vessels (FISV), Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs), Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels (AHTSVs), and Crew Transfer Boats.
Coordinate planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with OEM recommendations, class requirements, and company technical standards.
Develop and track maintenance work orders, defect reports, and condition-based maintenance (CBM) schedules, ensuring timely execution and closure within set KPIs.
Supervise and coordinate workshop and field maintenance operations, providing technical direction to engineers, mechanics, and support staff during troubleshooting, overhaul, and commissioning activities.
Manage and maintain a comprehensive spare parts and consumables inventory system, ensuring optimal stock levels to support operational continuity and minimize vessel downtime.
Generate and analyze fleet maintenance performance data, including equipment reliability indices, MTBF/MTTR trends, and cost of maintenance reports for management decision-making.
Support the Technical Superintendent and Marine Engineers in preparation of dry-docking specifications, repair lists, and vendor coordination.
Assist in the development of maintenance budgets, procurement plans, and technical CAPEX forecasts, ensuring all expenditures align with operational efficiency objectives.
Maintain accurate and auditable maintenance logs, technical documentation, and certification records in accordance with ISM Code and Class Society requirements.
Participate in failure investigations, root cause analyses (RCA), and corrective action planning to drive continuous improvement and fleet reliability enhancement.
Liaise with OEMs, shipyards, and technical service providers to ensure quality control, spare parts authenticity, and compliance with manufacturer warranties.
Promote adherence to HSE policies, safe work procedures, and permit-to-work systems during all maintenance operations, both onboard and onshore.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree (B.Eng/B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Industrial Maintenance Engineering from an accredited institution.
Additional certification in Maintenance and Reliability Engineering or Asset Integrity Management will be an advantage.
Experience:
5–8 years of progressive experience in fleet maintenance coordination or marine technical operations, preferably within an offshore vessel management or oil & gas support environment.
Proven background in preventive maintenance, equipment reliability management, and spares planning for marine assets.
Technical Competencies:
Proficiency in Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS) such as AMOS, TM Master, NS5, or Maximo.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, propulsion, hydraulic, and auxiliary systems onboard marine vessels.
Familiarity with class and flag maintenance documentation requirements, including ISM, SOLAS, and MARPOL conventions.
Competence in interpreting engineering drawings, equipment manuals, and technical data sheets.
Ability to develop and analyze maintenance KPIs — downtime tracking, work order completion rates, and cost variance analysis.
Behavioral & Leadership Attributes:
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple maintenance projects simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills for interfacing with engineers, suppliers, clients, and vessel crews.

Other Requirements:
Valid BOSIET/FOET certification and offshore medical fitness.
Strong computer literacy in MS Office, maintenance tracking tools, and ERP-based inventory systems.
Willingness to undertake offshore visits and shipyard assignments as operationally required.
