Job Title: Associate Financial Analyst

Job Summary
As part of the Strategic Growth Team, the Associate Financial Analyst is responsible for providing comprehensive financial analysis and support to drive data-driven decision-making within the organization.
The ideal candidate will excel in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and preparing accurate reports that inform key business strategies.
The Financial Analyst will collaborate with various departments to monitor financial performance, assist with budgeting, and evaluate investment opportunities.
The role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently on financial models, forecasts, and reports, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high levels of accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
In addition to the above, the analyst will create internal OKRs and SLAs that hold our teams to ambitious performance standards. Other responsibilities would include:
Assist in gathering, organizing, and reviewing financial data to support the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports. Help compare actual performance to historical, budgeted, and forecasted figures, and prepare summaries for management review.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams to consolidate financial data. Prepare clear and visually engaging reports and dashboards using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other tools to support data-driven decision-making.
Provide administrative and research support in identifying cost-saving opportunities. Help document innovative ideas, monitor progress, and support initiatives that contribute to improved financial performance.
Assist in tracking key business performance indicators (KPIs). Maintain updated reports, help generate insights, and support analysis efforts that contribute to strategic and operational goals.
Compile monthly financial and performance reports, including variance analysis and departmental summaries. Schedule and coordinate review meetings, ensuring all materials are prepared and shared in advance.
Provide assistance during budgeting and forecasting cycles by collecting data, preparing templates, coordinating inputs across departments, and ensuring timely submission of relevant materials.
Help analyze financial trends and variances under the guidance of senior finance staff. Prepare supporting documents and assist in drafting recommendations for performance improvement.
Stay updated on relevant investment and compliance regulations. Maintain documentation and flag important updates or deadlines for management attention.
Provide support in building and updating financial models and tools used for internal decision-making. Ensure data accuracy and consistency, and assist in documenting assumptions and methodologies.
Assist in gathering data on competitor financial performance. Help compile comparative analyses and summary reports to support strategy development and board discussions.
Perform any other duty as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
1-3 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, investment banking, or other related fields.
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, SQL, Power BI, Excel, and financial modeling
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Attention to accuracy and detail required

Salary
N150,000 - N250,000 monthly.
