We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Senior Investment Analyst
Location: CMS, Lagos
Key Accountabilities
Develop and maintain high quality and comprehensive real estate financial models and analysis to support new development projects, acquisitions, investments, business planning, and forecasting decisions.
Provide regular quality focused updates to financial models in line with adjustments to assumptions during the pre-contract development phases.
Monitor the progress of ongoing projects and carry out regular variance analysis on the project performance (actual vs budget).
Provide reliable and insightful project performance reports for internal and external stakeholders, that include the evaluation and analysis of pipeli e and ongoing projects including, potential
forecasts, performance of comparable developments and/or companies, trends analysis, valuation drivers and key risk factors.
Evaluate investment opportunities across asset classes (residential, commercial, hospitality, mixeduse, etc.) and provide recommendations to maximize project viability and return profile.
Analyze project feasibility and assist with structuring transactions, joint ventures, and financing arrangements using scenario analysis to indicate the potential returns against the key variables.
Consult with the development team to develop long-term commercial plans and develop initiatives and policies to improve financial growth.
Support the development team to ensure alignment of financial and delivery data including work package reviews and tender evaluation analysis.
Review project valuation reports, consultant reports and assist with verifying all payment requests.
Ensure accuracy of vendor invoices and adequacy of support documents before payments are made.
Prepare all documents and presentations required to inform relevant stakeholders of the financial performance of the projects.
Maintain a portfolio dashboard on all existing developments to include all development related information status and financial performance
Monitor macroeconomic indicators, interest rates, inflation, and regulatory changes impacting real estate.
Support legal, technical, and financial due diligence processes for transactions.
Requirements
Education/Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience and other Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in a numerate and highly analytical field, including Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Engineering, is recommended.
Finance/business –related post graduate qualification, Chartered Accountant, and/or Chartered
Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is an added advantage.
5+ years of work experience in a detail-oriented financial role such as real estate, investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, finance, or strategy consulting.
Outstanding academic record.
Proven work experience in performing complex financial analysis, modelling, company valuations, and comparable company analyses.
Strong quantitative and analytical competency with prior responsibilities for research, data-driven
analysis, and explaining complex financial concepts.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Power BI, Word and Excel.
Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite & accounting software.
Strong project and time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and influencing skills in oral and written form.
Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently.
Excellent presentation skills and comfort interacting with executive-level management.
Ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
Passion to learn and grow within the organization.
