About the Role

• We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Drilling Lathe Machine Operator to join our team in Sabon Wuse, Niger State.
• The ideal candidate must be capable of operating drilling and lathe machines to produce high‑quality, precision‑engineered components according to technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate drilling and conventional lathe machines efficiently.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions accurately.
• Drill, bore, ream, and tap holes with precision and proper tooling.
• Perform turning, facing, threading, and other lathe operations as required.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for each job.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.
• Maintain machinery through routine cleaning and minor adjustments.
• Ensure all components meet required quality and dimensional standards.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience operating drilling and lathe machines.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes and metalworking tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, dial gauges).
• Good troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a production team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with both light‑duty and heavy‑duty lathe/drilling machines.
• Technical or vocational training in machining or mechanical engineering.
• Knowledge of basic machine maintenance and safety standards.
