Job Title: Driver / Inventory Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• The Driver / Inventory Officer is responsible for safely transporting CGD staff and goods, as well as assisting with inventory management when not driving.
• This dual-role ensures efficient staff transport, proper handling of company assets, and smooth inventory operations.

Responsibilities
Driver Duties:

• Transport staff to the office in the morning and back home in the evening safely and on time.
• Assist with urgent errands and deliveries as required.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logs and ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
• Follow traffic regulations and company safety protocols at all times.

Inventory Officer Duties (When Not Driving):

• Assist with inventory management and stock organization.
• Record and track inventory movements in the system.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of goods.
• Support the inventory team with day-to-day operational tasks as assigned.

General Duties:

• Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding company operations and staff information.
• Follow assigned schedules and instructions diligently.

Educational Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License
• Minimum qualification: SSCE (Senior Secondary Certificate of Education)

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent driving skills with a valid Lagos State driver’s license.
• Knowledge of Lagos roads and traffic regulations.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles in various traffic and weather conditions.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management.
• High level of discipline, integrity, and responsibility.
• Ability to multitask and switch between driving and inventory duties efficiently.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking (preferred).

Experience:

• Previous experience as a driver is required.
• Experience with inventory management or warehouse operations is an advantage.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work on rotational or flexible shifts.Punctual, reliable, and professional.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle company assets responsibly.

Remuneration & Benefits

• Salary: N150,000 per month and above
• HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) coverage
• Staff bus transportation
• Accommodation provided
• Performance bonus when delivery/revenue/inventory targets are met
• Other benefits as per company policy.
