Brand Concept Stores Limited is a Beverage distribution company (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), focused on brands catering to small retailers / traditional trade stores in Nigeria. Our product portfolio includes wines, spirits and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Modern Trade Executive

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Lagos, and Port Harcourt - Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose 

• This position is a full time field sales position and entails minimum of 6 hours of daily market work in the retail channel ie., Modern Trade & Neighbourhood Supermarkets.
• The key responsibilities are outlet coverage in the Retail ourltet channel, compliance to coverage of all the outlets as per the route plan, ensuring placement of all the products in the portfolio in the outlets covered, ensure visibility of products at eyelevel, ensure product merchandising, ensure placement of POSM material, communication of right price and promotion to the outlet and in the outlet leading to growing the company business in the designated area/territory/channel.
• One of the major key responsibilities to ensure strict credit management ie., the recovery of outstanding credit on time.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Drive numeric distribution and range selling. Identify and cover new outlets and new uncovered markets
• New customer acquisition especially identifying uncovered Retail stores and covering them by updating the route plan
• Builds close relationship and partnership with Modern Trade customers across the various levels of interface ie., procurement, Accounts, in-store supervisor, owners, etc.
• Achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual growth objectives across each and every outlet leading to achieving of overall KPIs
• Ensure transparent and effective communication of all the promos in the channel and implementation of promos on the shelf
• Ensures regular follow-up with customers to maximize the range(basket) and display opportunities in consistent with established company’s sales and merchandising principles.
• Ensure timely submission of accurate and reliable competition intelligence reports on a weekly basis
• Effective communication and follow up within the Organization to proactively resolve the customer issues on time
• Be proactive in timely addressing sales issues, looking for creative ways or analyze performance or data to came up with solutions
• Recruitment, monitoring and control of the Promoters(Promo-merchandisers) to drive sell-out (where agreed with the respective BM) and also ensure product visibility in the stores
• Timely collection of outstanding debt.

Reporting line:

• Regional Sales Manager / Retail Development Manager followed by the Business Manager.

Core KPIs

• Ensure 100% compliance to outlet coverage ie., daily route coverage plan
• Identify and cover new outlets
• Ensure achievement of sales targets
• Timely collection of outstanding debt.
