Job Summary

• The Capital Market Analyst is responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis of financial markets, investment instruments, and economic trends to support the firm’s investment strategies and advisory services.
• The role involves monitoring market performance, evaluating investment opportunities across equities, fixed income, and other capital market instruments, and providing data-driven insights to guide portfolio management and client investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Analysis:

• Conduct detailed analysis of capital market trends, economic indicators, and financial data.
• Monitor performance of equities, fixed income securities, and other investment instruments.
• Analyze macroeconomic and industry developments that may impact investment decisions.
• Prepare market outlook reports and investment research briefs.

Investment Evaluation:

• Assess potential investment opportunities across capital market instruments.
• Perform financial modelling, valuation analysis, and risk assessment.
• Support the development of investment strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Provide recommendations on portfolio allocation and asset diversification.

Portfolio Monitoring & Performance Analysis:

• Track the performance of client portfolios and investment assets.
• Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and provide performance reports.
• Identify underperforming assets and recommend adjustments where necessary.
• Ensure portfolios remain aligned with market conditions and investment goals.

Financial Modelling & Valuation:

• Build financial models to evaluate investment opportunities and market scenarios.
• Conduct company valuation using methods such as discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and market multiples.
• Analyze financial statements to assess company performance and growth potential.

Market Intelligence & Reporting:

• Prepare investment research reports, market commentary, and economic outlook updates.
• Present market insights and recommendations to senior management and investment teams.
• Provide regular briefings on significant market developments and risks.
• Support the preparation of investment presentations and client reports.

Client Advisory Support:

• Provide analytical support for client investment advisory services.
• Assist in preparing portfolio recommendations for clients.
• Support client meetings by providing market insights and investment analysis.
• Ensure recommendations align with clients’ risk tolerance and financial goals.

Regulatory & Compliance Awareness:

• Ensure investment recommendations comply with regulatory requirements and internal investment policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of investment analysis and decisions.
• Support compliance processes related to investment advisory activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in capital markets, investment analysis, or portfolio management.
• Strong knowledge of equities, fixed income securities, and financial markets.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques.
• Strong analytical, research, and quantitative skills.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CIS, or ICAN are an advantage.
