Job Title: Inventory Manager
Location: Ogba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role
We are a fast-growing eCommerce brand looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Manager to join our operations team.
This role is critical to ensuring our products are available, accurately tracked, and efficiently managed across our office and all delivery agent networks throughout Nigeria.
The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and speed are equally important.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Management & Control:
Conduct physical stock counts in the office and reconcile inventory records with different delivery agents across Nigeria.
Record daily deliveries and shipments to maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
Ensure all stock transfers are properly counted, documented, and logged in the inventory system.
Oversee and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability at all times.
Ensures proper storage, handling, and organization of all inventory items in the warehouse/office.
Inventory Tracking & Reconciliation:
Track stock movement, usage, and replenishment across all departments, outlets, and delivery channels.
Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste, loss, and stock discrepancies.
Conduct regular stock counts, audits, and reconciliations across all locations and agents.
Investigate and resolve inventory variances, shortages, or overstock issues promptly.
Supply Chain & Procurement Coordination:
Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.
Coordinate with procurement teams and suppliers to ensure timely restocking and avoid stockouts.
Analyze inventory data to forecast demand and plan future stock needs effectively.
Reporting & Compliance:
Prepare detailed inventory reports and provide regular updates to upper management on stock levels, issues, and trends.
Report to upper management on any discrepancies, risks, or urgent inventory concerns.
Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and inventory management standards.
Bachelor's degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 1yearof experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a similar role.
Prior experience in an eCommerce, logistics, or retail environment is a strong advantage.
Hands-on experience working with delivery agents or last-mile logistics partners is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in inventory management software or ERP systems (e.g., Zoho Inventory, TradeGecko, Odoo, or similar).
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for stock tracking and reporting.
Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and generate clear inventory reports.
Familiarity with eCommerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.) is an added advantage.
Core Competencies & Soft Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all inventory-related tasks.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal — for coordinating with agents and reporting to management.
High level of integrity, accountability, and reliability when handling stock and sensitive inventory data.
Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems with minimal supervision.
Willingness to travel within Nigeria to visit delivery agents and field locations as required.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced eCommerce environment.
Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 per month.
