We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Subject Teacher

Locations: Rupokwu / Rumahoglu / Igwuruta / Artillery, Woji, Port Harcourt - Rivers

Job Description

• A Subject Teacher is responsible for teaching a specific subject to students, ensuring that they understand the curriculum, develop academic skills, and achieve learning objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Lesson Planning:

• Prepare and deliver well-structured lessons in the assigned subject.
• Develop lesson plans in line with the school curriculum.

Teaching and Instruction:

• Teach students using appropriate teaching methods and instructional materials.
• Explain concepts clearly and encourage student participation.

Assessment and Evaluation:

• Prepare tests, assignments, and examinations.
• Mark and grade students' work and provide feedback.

Classroom Management:

• Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment.
• Ensure students follow classroom rules and school policies.

Record Keeping:

• Keep accurate records of students’ attendance, performance, and progress.
• Update the school register and academic records when necessary.

Student Support:

• Identify students who need extra help and provide additional guidance.
• Encourage students’ academic and personal development.

Curriculum Implementation:

• Follow the approved curriculum and scheme of work.
• Participate in curriculum review and improvement when required.

Collaboration:

• Work with other teachers, school administrators, and parents to support students' learning.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess an NCE, B.Ed, or Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject.
• Teaching certification such as Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is an advantage.

Professional Development:

• Attend workshops, training, and meetings to improve teaching skills.

Salary
N50,000 - N100,000 / Month.
