Job Title: Social Media Strategy & Optimization Specialist
We’re seeking a high impact Social Media Strategy & Optimization Specialist to own the organic growth and performance of our social channels across multiple countries.
This role sits at the intersection of creative storytelling, social media management, data science, and AI innovation.
You’ll research, develop, and execute a multi-country social playbook designed to hit realistic organic view targets and drive tangible business results, while developing content calendars, scheduling posts, and managing community engagement across our platforms.
You’re both a thinker and a creator, comfortable using AI tools to automate workflows and optimize content for maximum reach and conversion.
Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across TikTok, Meta (Instagram/Facebook), YouTube, X, and LinkedIn.
Conduct periodic research to build a social content playbook based on platform trends, audience behavior, and performance data across African markets.
Identify winning hooks, narratives, and creator styles that consistently drive engagement and seller/buyer recruitment across platforms.
Translate brand messaging into a relatable local voice (and other regional tones) while maintaining brand consistency.
Content Creation, AI & Automation:
Conceptualize and lead hands-on creation of viral ready short-form video in collaboration with our video editor (Reels, TikToks, Shorts), including scripting and filming direction.
Implement AI-assisted workflows for social media content creation, scheduling, moderation, and community management to accelerate the roadmap and improve efficiency.
Work with internal videographers and designers to scale production through repeatable content frameworks.
Optimize all assets for mobile consumption and platform native formats.
Performance Optimization & Growth:
Own organic growth targets from day one tracking reach, engagement, new user sign-ups, B2C & C2C sellers recruitments, etc. No vanity metrics.
Conduct continuous A/B testing on content formats, captions, and posting times to refine what works.
Analyze performance data (weekly/monthly) to turn raw insights into actionable creative strategies.
Balance viral potential with a clear Call to Action (CTA) that supports business goals like seller leads and Premium Services adoption.
Collaboration & Community:
Partner with the PR & Marketing and Sales teams to translate real user stories into compelling digital content.
Manage and moderate community interactions (using AI where applicable) to foster a positive brand reputation.
Contribute to regional and pan-African campaigns with adaptable creative concepts.
Required Experience & Skills
5+ years in Social Media Management, Creative Strategy, or Digital Growth roles.
Proven track record of managing multi-country accounts, specifically within African markets.
Strong experience or interest in AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, SM creator & mgt tools, workflow automation, CapCut, content automation, and AI editing tools).
Ability to interpret KPIs (CTR, engagement rate, conversions, etc) using tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, or other native platform insights.
A portfolio demonstrating measurable organic growth and scroll-stopping creative execution.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Canva, CapCut/Adobe Premiere Rush, and social media scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite).
Exceptional command of English and a flair for writing catchy, relatable Naija-centric copy.
Ability to turn raw data into actionable marketing strategies
Knowledge of content experimentation and growth strategies.
