We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Head of Communications (HOC)
Location: Command Centre, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time Annual (with 6 months initial probation)
Reporting to: CEO
Working hours: 8am to 6pm. Monday – Friday. Flexible hours policy
Role
Reporting to the CEO in Lagos you will be expected to effectively lead our PR and Communications strategy. With teams located all over Africa, the ability to problem solve, use your own judgement, think creatively and work calmly under pressure are all essential skills to the role.
Participation in monthly online or in person Command Centre Meetings and policy formation in line with the INL Business Model is mandatory. This includes managing internal communication (information flows within the company) and external communication (information flows in thevast business environment).
Internal Communications:
Ensure that copy is written for company newsletters or memos and adhering to our company’s brand guide by publishing content and marketing materials.
External Communications:
Ensure the effectiveness of external communication channels like social media platforms, company websites and media relations. Write copy for company newsletters or memos in line with our brand guide.
As the HOC you are required to lead our company’s communications personnel, create and maintain unique social media strategies.
Your duties include staying up-to-date on trends, monitoring all social media profiles to determine engagement and developing campaign ideas to promote SAFRITECTURE to the public in a bid to garner interest and generate new business for SAFRITECTURE.
Other duties include implementing the organization's wellbeing and staff development strategy, drafting policies, assist in budget preparation and carrying out human performance reviews.
A strong interest and knowledge of effective Social Media marketing is vital for this role. A current international passport with more than 1 year before expiry is mandatory as travel within Africa is expected.
Responsibilities
The primary duty of the HOC is brand development through social media and traditional outlets. You will:
Identify target customers and set clear objectives to capture and retain them.
Plan, design, implement and monitor social media marketing campaigns.
Build an effective content strategy to engage our audience, increase traffic and boost conversion.
Analyse competitor activity, recommend improvements to increase performance.
Track social media campaigns’ key performance metrics to maximize results and report progress to management. Research and evaluate the latest tools and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity.
Set targets to increase brand awareness and increase customer engagement and loyalty.
Design, implement and manage social ad campaigns integrated into the company’s strategic marketing plans.
Hire and supervise talented creatives, including Freelance Writers and Graphic Designers, and coordinate their activities to achieve social media campaign objectives.
Lead weekly team meetings geared toward improving social media/advertising tactics and processes utilized by the digital marketing team.
Manage team projects and ensures they are completed on time and on budget.
Manage and track budgets for social media activities.
Guide your team as they work in tandem with the appointed graphic designer to evolve and refine our corporate identity and set up a Brand Guide to ensure our corporate identity is consistently applied irrespective of location.
Guide your team as they work in tandem with the appointed website designer to set up the SAFRITECTURE web site to be an effective marketing tool that prompts enquires and generates leads.
Guide your team as they set up and monitor YouTube accounts to garner interest in SAFRITECTURES projects, activities and events.
Head the curation of the quarterly events held in clients Communication Spaces, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). These events range from Fine Art and Sculpture Exhibitions, Book Readings, Spoken Word and Poetry Events, Mini Concerts showcasing indigenous and contemporary musical artists, Debates, Discussions and Theatre.
Qualifications
Safritecture is looking for an experienced PR and Communications expert with a minimum of Bachelor's Degree in either International Media, Marketing or Communications to become the Head of Communications (HOC).
An MBA is advantageous.
A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience is required for this challenging, engaging and rewarding position.

Proficient use of office productivity tools and software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficient using social media tools such as Later, FB Business, Canva, Linktree, Sprout, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.
Experience in Analytics, SEO, CPC, CPM, and email marketing methods. Monitor, track, analyse and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Audience Insights.
Willingness to travel as and when needed.

Minimum of USD 24,000 / Annum basic, based on experience.
