Petroleum Development Trust Fund (PTDF) has released the 20010/11 Shortlisted Candidates for Oversea Scholarship Scheme (OSS)PTDF PHD Interview. Sequel to the advertisement of October 2009 requesting suitably qualified Nigerians to apply for a scholarship under the 2010/11 Overseas Scholarship Scheme (OSS): the following shortlisted candidates are hereby invited for an interview for the award of PhD scholarship in Oil and Gas related field as well as Management and Law.

Candidates were shortlisted based on the following criteria:
- Possession of a good first and second degree in either Engineering, Sciences, Geosciences, Environmental Studies, Computer Sciences, Law, Economics, Accountancy and other Management related Courses.
- Provision of first and second degree results.
- Provision of PhD Research Proposal.
- Provision of evidence of valid admission for PhD programme.
- Age limit of 45 years for lecturers and 40 years for others.
The interview will commence on Monday, July 5 and end on Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Candidates are required to appear before a panel on experts to defend their research proposals on the dates stipulated against their zones.

Interview will commence at 9.00am each day at Chelsea Hotel, Plot 123 Cadastral Zone AO, Central District, Abuja.
Candidates should report with the originals of all their credentials including:
- First and second Degree Certificates
- NYSC Certificate/Letter of Exemption
- Originals of Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
- A Medical Certificate of Fitness from a Government Hospital
- Letter of Admission to study PhD
- Research Proposal
- Any other professional qualifications or certificates of merit obtained.
In addition to the medical certificate of fitness, successful candidates shall be required to undergo a comprehensive medical checkup in a PTDF approved hospital prior to departure.
Please note that PTDF will not be responsible for expenses incurred by candidates during the course of the interview.
