We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Security & Investigation Officer

Locations: Gbagada & Oshodi - Isolo, Lagos
Job type: Full time

Key Responsibilities
Security Operations:

• Monitor and enforce security policies and procedures across all company locations. 
• Conduct regular security inspections of offices, hubs, warehouses, and operational facilities. 
• Ensure proper access control measures are maintained at all company locations. 
• Identify security vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions. 
• Support the implementation of security awareness programs for employees. 

Investigation Management:

• Conduct investigations into theft, fraud, cargo loss, pilferage, misconduct, vandalism, and other security-related incidents. 
• Gather, analyse, and document evidence relating to investigations. 
• Interview employees, vendors, customers, and other relevant parties during investigations. 
• Prepare detailed investigation reports with findings and recommendations. 
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity throughout the investigation process. 

Incident Response & Risk Management:

• Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies. 
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend preventive measures. 
• Monitor security trends and emerging threats affecting logistics operations. 
• Maintain incident registers and track corrective actions until closure. 
• Assist in business continuity and crisis management activities. 

Asset & Cargo Protection:

• Support initiatives aimed at reducing cargo losses and operational risks. 
• Monitor shipment security and investigate cases of missing or damaged shipments. 
• Ensure compliance with asset management and inventory control procedures. 
• Collaborate with Operations and Fleet teams to enhance shipment security. 

Compliance & Regulatory Support:

• Ensure adherence to company security policies and regulatory requirements. 
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies and security service providers when necessary. 
• Support internal audits and compliance reviews. 
• Maintain accurate records of security incidents, investigations, and resolutions. 

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Work closely with HR, Operations, Fleet, Customer Experience, and Finance teams on security-related matters. 
• Provide security advisory support to business units. 
• Coordinate with external security agencies and relevant authorities when required. 

Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly security reports. 
• Maintain comprehensive investigation records and evidence files. 
• Provide management with timely updates on ongoing investigations and security risks. 
• Track security KPIs and recommend improvements.
