Ecofitness is a fast-growing fitness centre established in 2021 with branch networks in the two major cities in Nigeria; Abuja and Lagos, with a vision to extend her tentacles across the 36 states of the federation and the world at large.

We offer bespoke services developed to meet your needs with close supervision and training by our best-in-class, hand-picked and experienced fitness Trainers. With the host of our other fun and engaging fitness programs such as; Football, Lawn tennis and Basketball, We have our Trainers anchor over 16 different fitness classes per week. These include, but are not limited to; AEROBICS, HIIT, CARDIO, YOGA, DANCE etc.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fitness Trainer

Location: Maitama, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Client Training & Coaching:

• Conduct fitness assessments to evaluate clients’ physical condition, goals, and limitations.
• Design and implement personalized training programs tailored to individual client needs.
• Provide one-on-one and group training sessions.
• Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and equipment usage.
• Monitor client progress and adjust training programs accordingly.
• Motivate and guide clients to achieve their fitness and wellness goals.

Customer Experience & Engagement:

• Deliver a professional, friendly, and motivating experience to all clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with members to encourage retention and satisfaction.
• Actively engage members on the gym floor, offering support and guidance where needed.
• Promote personal training packages and fitness programs.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure all activities are conducted in line with health and safety standards.
• Monitor the gym floor to ensure safe use of equipment.
• Respond promptly to incidents, injuries, or emergencies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment.

Administrative Duties:

• Maintain accurate records of client programs, progress, and attendance.
• Support the gym in achieving membership and revenue targets.
• Participate in fitness events, challenges, and wellness programs organized by the gym.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with the front desk and management team to ensure smooth operations.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues when required.
• Attend team meetings, training sessions, and development programs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science Kinesiology, Physical Education or a related field.
• Recognized fitness certification (e.g., IREP, ACE, NASM, ISSA, or equivalent)
• 1–3 years experience as a fitness trainer (preferred)
• Knowledge of exercise techniques, nutrition basics, and injury prevention
• CPR/AED certification is an added advantage
