Job Summary

• We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Design Officer to support the design, development, and improvement of automotive products and components.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing technical drawings, assisting in product development, conducting design analysis, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure designs meet quality, safety, and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Assist in the design and development of vehicle components, systems, and assemblies.
• Create and modify 2D and 3D models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
• Conduct design reviews and recommend improvements to enhance product performance and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure design requirements are met.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, automotive regulations, and safety requirements.
• Assist in conducting engineering calculations, feasibility studies, and technical analyses.
• Maintain accurate records of design changes and project documentation.
• Stay updated on emerging automotive technologies, materials, and design trends.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in technical design, engineering design, or product development, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar design tools.
• Knowledge of engineering drawing standards and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Professional engineering certification is an added advantage.
