Job Summary

• The Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, ironing, folding, sorting, and packaging clothing, linens, and other textile items while ensuring high standards of cleanliness, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• The role requires attention to detail, proper handling of fabrics, and adherence to safety and hygiene procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort laundry according to color, fabric type, and washing requirements.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, ironing equipment, and other laundry machinery safely and efficiently.
• Wash, dry, iron, fold, and package garments and linens according to company standards.
• Inspect items for stains, damage, or special cleaning requirements before processing.
• Apply appropriate stain-removal treatments when necessary.
• Ensure all customer items are accurately tagged, tracked, and returned.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
• Monitor and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Manage laundry supplies and notify supervisors when stock levels are low.
• Assist customers professionally and respond to inquiries when required.
• Meet daily productivity and quality targets.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of a secondary school certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a laundry, dry-cleaning, hotel, or housekeeping environment is an advantage.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment and follow washing instructions.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
