Job Description

• Reporting to the National Sales Manager
• The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organising and managing the sales operational activities of the Northern region in order to ensure the achievement of agreed targets in volume, turnover and brand penetration.
• A major focus will be to achieve effective distribution through efficient utilisation of available human and material resources.

Job Responsibilities

• Specific responsibilities will be to:
• Develop annual regional plan by preparing the yearly sales plans, including analysis of last year’s performances, next year market development, distribution development, people development and regional contribution to the company.
• Effective coordination of sales personnel by establishing a control and sales information system to ensure timely preparation and submission of all reports.
• Manage the existing distributors and develop new ones if necessary to ensure optimal coverage and optimal market shares of company’s brands in the region.
• Develop a good distributorship network and market share for company’s brands.
• Monitor the flow of goods in and out of the stock points within the region, ensuring stocks are available to meet sales objectives as well as strict adherence to laid down procedures and documentations.

Requirements

• A good first degree or its equivalent in Marketing or Business Administration from a reputable institution, Relevant professional qualification(s) will be an advantage.
• A minimum of ten (10) years’ cognate experience, with at least seven (7) years’ managerial experience.
• Demonstrable experience in marketing and sales, financial analysis, channel development management, pricing, profitability and strategic planning.
• Proven business development skills and strong entrepreneurial outlook.
• Strong customer service orientation and knack for breaking new grounds.
• Excellent leadership, negotiating, relationship building, team working, influencing, interpersonal and communication skills,
