Job Description
- The Director will build and lead the Renewable Energy (RE) Directorate. S/he will promote the development of renewable energy across Africa.
- S/he will create a framework for cost effective integration of RE in the energy mix of countries and will liaise with the Africa Renewable Energy Initiative to develop and implement bankable RE projects.
- S/he will deliver on one flagship (FS) program of the New Deal on Energy for Africa: FS2 – Renewable Energy Program.
Requirements
- This role reports to the Vice President, Power, Energy, and Green Growth. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of proven leadership and thought leadership in a relevant sector; a master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant field of study is also required.
