Job Description
Located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State our client is a WHO-PQS certified manufacturer and distributor of best-in class specialist medical equipment and supplies in West and Central Africa. The company is currently embarked on a major expansion program designed to position it as the leading healthcare/life sciences company in the WACA region.
Reporting to the CEO, your key roles and responsibilities shall include assuming the lead roles for:
The company’s business development function
The company’s marketing and product development responsibilities
The identification, securement, and management of strategic business opportunities and other long-term arrangements, including:
Multi-year bulk purchase agreements and advance purchase commitments
Contract manufacturing arrangements
Private-label manufacturing arrangements
Partnership marketing opportunities
The company’s compliance function, including statutory and regulatory matters, as well as standards compliance and certifications
Degree-qualified in Pharmacy or a related discipline (possession of an MBA or relevant post graduate business qualification will be an advantage)
Minimum of 15 years’ cognate experience in the Nigerian pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, at least five of which must have been in an executive management role in a reputable pharmaceutical company
Demonstrable record of success in meeting and exceeding revenue targets
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and client handling skills; able to develop and maintain contacts at the highest level
