Job Title: Customer Sales Clerk
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- Processes customer payments, including other cash management and recording.
Key Responsibilities
- Receives products selected by customer.
- Totals price and price on products/services purchased by customer using the company’s payment software.
- Accepts payment and makes change for customers.
- Bags products for customers.
- Records amount of cash in register at the end of shift.
- May calculate sales discount to determine price.
- Tags prices on products.
Knowledge/Skills/Ability:
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Accuracy & Attentive to details.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Ordinary National Diploma in Accounting.
- 1-2 years sales clerk experience from a reputable organization.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
