The Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, hereby invite applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of:
Job Title: College Registrar
Location: Lagos
Duties
- The Registrar is one of the five (5) Principal Officers of the College and a Member of the Management Team.
- He is the Chief Administrative Office in- charge of the Registry and responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration of the institution.
- The Registrar is also the Secretary to the Governing Council, Academic Board and other Statutory Committees and Boards of the College.
- The Registrar is also responsible for keeping all the records in the institution and issuing certificates of service.
Qualifications
- Candidates for the past must hold a good honours Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning plus at least 21 years cognate experience or Master's Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning plus at least 18 years cognate experience or a holder of Doctorate Degree plus at least 15 years cognate experience.
- In addition, the candidate must possess evidence of registration with a recognized relevant professional body and evidence of a continuous mandatory Professional development course.
- Candidates must also have spent a minimum of five (5) years as a Deputy Registrar.
The Candidate
- The candidate shall not be more than 59 years as at the date of this publication.
- He/She shall be a person of high integrity and strong moral character with excellent inter-personal relations.
- He/She must fully understand the College of Education system and must be able to effectively utilize its human resources to attain a world- class administrative system.
- He/She must also be of sound health and be ICT compliant.
Condition of Service
- Candidate will be entitled to the privileges and benefits specified in the Terms and
- Conditions of Service for Staff of Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka and
- according to other conditions which may be approved from time-to-time by the
- Governing Council of the College in consultation with the National Commission for
- Colleges of Education.
Tenure
- The appointment of the candidate is for an initial period of five (5) years in the first instance and may be eligible for re-appointment for a second term of five (5) years.
