Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by an Oil & Gas Company to recruit a Project Materials Control Manager for its operations in Nigeria.

Job Description
  • To be part of the Materials Control Team reporting to the Materials Manager and to oversee all MC activities are being carried out in safe efficient manor in line with Group and project procedures
  • Mentoring of Local MC team with a view to develop and improve understanding material control and traceability requirements for large Oil & Gas Construction projects
Responsibilities
  • Monitoring & receiving material deliveries again purchase orders and packing lists segregation and locating of materials updating the UID register list, identifying potential shortages and ensuring that corrective action is taken by the relevant department.
  • Maintaining traceability records and updating of material movement via materials matrix data base
  • Preparing and monitoring NCR & OSD and ensuring that replacement materials are supplied or corrective action taken as necessary.
  • Raising the MIV issue documents for the requested materials via MRV coordinate immediate delivery to the sites to suit the fabrication schedule.
  • Daily liaison with fabrication shop supervisors and CNC operators
  • Monitor that delivered materials and equipment are in compliance with documentation Purchase Orders, Requisitions and Free Issued Materials at the warehouse / laydown areas and their further onward delivery to work sites.
  • Reviewing and checking Receiving Reports provided by QA/QC dept.
  • Keeping track of all incoming and outgoing materials
  • Monitoring backload & Offcuts materials returned to stock.
  • Monitoring hired materials and their return to vendors.
  • Cooperation with fabrication department, procurement, warehouse, sub-contractors, Client team, SI logistics, customs, SIMCO, vendors and freight forwarders.
  • Awareness of and adherence to Company & Project specific HESQ, QA/QC and Material Control procedures and requirements
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience within an oil and gas industry facilities fabrication/ construction/engineering project controls environment – minimum 8 years in a project controls lead/supervisory role.
  • Technical professional with in depth project fabrication/engineering/construction experience and knowledge of project controls requirements particularly relating to such.
  • Tertiary Technical qualifications – essential.
  • Good team player with a pro-active and flexible attitude, and able to work in a challenging environment, with minimal supervision. Must be able to communicate at professional engineer level and thus draw together the best information into a multi discipline package for the project.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English (essential)
  • PC Literate in MS Windows, Excel, MS Office,
  • MS Project, Primavera Planning (minimum - skilled level)
  • Mature person with cultural sensitivity.
