Job description

The ODT Manager will be responsible for planning,designing and delivering key element of the organsation’s learning and development projects and initiatives. He or she will be a provider of a range of consultative services and implementation of programs focused on organization effectiveness

The position is based in Lagos and reports to the HRD.

Responsibilities
  • Designs, develops, presents, and evaluates corporate learning and development programs and other initiatives including: leadership training, organizational and employee performance management, career planning, mentoring, etc.
  • Lead the design, development and implementation of programs, policies and strategies tailored to meet organizational development needs
  • Organizational development consulting: Operates as an organizational leader and internal consultant to management in the identification, development, and implementation of programs to align workforce and business processes.
  • Partner and collaborate with all levels of management to determine core competencies required for key positions in the organization and identify specific resources to ensure acquisition and maintenance of those competencies.
  • Identify, develop, and implement leadership development programs that drive consistent leadership capabilities
  • Coordinate and manage competency assessment process, reviews and competency model framework for the organization.
  • Proactive human resource need identification for the business entities
  • Progress and effectiveness of learning intervention strategies on organizational effectiveness
  • Internal customer satisfaction levels for training administration and facilitation programs
  • Assist with the provision of expert facilitation and coaching to supervisors and managers regarding OD methods and tools
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Oversee learning management process and training delivery and administration for the organization and maintain appropriate service level
  • Provide guidance and leadership to team regarding strategies for improving workforce effectiveness, retention, development and growth
  • Keep abreast of cutting edge research, programs and practices for employee development and retention.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years progressive discipline/functional experience with learning and development management or organizational development consulting
  • Experience in designing, delivering and implementing learning & development solutions
  • Previous experience with instructional design and curriculum development (with certification) is desired
  • PHR/CTP/CIPD Certification is strongly preferred
  • Good understanding of recruitment process & strategies with good Oil & Gas Industry Dynamics
  • Negotiation, Problem Solving and Effective communication skills – both oral & written
  • Decision making, Influence and interpersonal and Presentation skills required.
  • Logical thinker with good Networking ability.
  • Customer Relationship Management skills is needed
  • Good use of basic computer packages (Excel, Word, Power Point).
