Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a large Manufacturing group for the Oil & Gas sector to recruit a Lead Contracts Manager for its Oil and Gas operations in Nigeria

Job description
The Lead Contracts Manager will have the responsibility of review of contract documentation; development and management of supplier relationships and effective delivery of contracted products and services ; development of negotiation strategies which are in alignment with the company’s objectives, leading negotiations for complex contracts. He/she is to report to the Senior Lead Contracts Manager

Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this office shall include but is not limited to the following:
  • The Lead Contracts Manager is responsible for monitoring performance and managing communication to suppliers on behalf of the Company, providing of specific recommendations for improvement of services
  • Identifying of risks, mitigation strategies or corrective action
  • Settling of disputes regarding contract interpretation, conditions or compliance with legal requirements
  • Evaluation of supplier performance including, quality, cost, flow capacities, systems and responsiveness as per on-going business management
  • To ensure positive working relationships and effective delivery of contracted products
  • Monitoring of day to day operations/deliverables for key suppliers ensuring all customer expectations are met
  • Leading contract/project reviews and the balanced scorecard process
  • Provision of input, support, feedback into the Commercial Level Agreements and other contractual based initiatives

Qualifications and Experience
  • University degree in Contract Management or a related discipline
  • Possess at least 15 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Must have broad experience with multicultural work environments
  • Computer Literacy in Microsoft Office tools
  • Must have strong communication and people skills
  • Proficiency both in written and spoken English
  • Must be acquainted with EDMS- Team Binder or similar
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a team- oriented environment
