Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a large Oil & Gas Group to recruit a Senior Lead Contract Manager for its operations in Nigeria.

Job description
  • Evaluate supplier performance, including quality, cost, flow, capacities, systems and responsiveness as per on-going business management
  • To ensure positive working relationships and effective delivery of contracted products
  • Ensure portfolio related services are delivered in a timely manner, are audited as required, meet clients’ expectations, objectives and quality

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring day-to-day operations/deliverables for key suppliers and ensuring that customer expectations are met
  • Identifying risks, mitigation strategies or corrective action
  • Settling disputes regarding contract interpretation, conditions or compliance with legal requirements
  • Developing strategies for negotiation in alignment with companies’ objectives and leading negotiations for complex contracts
  • Monitoring performance and managing communication to suppliers and companies senior management while providing specific recommendations for improvement of services
  • Monitoring day-to-day operations/deliverables for key suppliers and ensuring that customer expectations are met
  • Identifying risks, mitigation strategies or corrective action
  • Settling disputes regarding contract interpretation, conditions or compliance with legal requirements
  • Leading contract/project reviews and the balanced scorecard process
  • Identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies to deal with unforeseen circumstances
  • Provide input, support and feedback into the Commercial Level Agreements and other contractual based initiatives as contracts are underpinning and Operating Level agreements
  • Chairing regular account management/operations meetings with key internal/external resources to discuss common issues and ensure continuous improvement
  • Review Contract Documentation
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships for the company and behalf of the client’, leases, licenses and/or services to ensure positive working relationships and effective delivery of contracted products and services
  • Developing strategies for negotiation in alignment with the companies’ objectives and leading negotiations for complex contracts
  • Monitoring performance and managing communication to suppliers on behalf of the Company and providing specific recommendations for improvement of services
  • Identifying risks, mitigation strategies or corrective action
  • Settling disputes regarding contract interpretation, conditions or compliance with legal requirements

Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in Contract management or a related discipline or 15+ years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Overseas and/or Africa work experience
  • Oil & Gas Industry experience
  • Computer Literate – MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word,
  • Familiar with EDMS – Team Binder or similar
  • Experience of working in multicultural environments
  • Good English written and verbal
  • Effectively work under pressure in a team-oriented environment;
  • Demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and produce quality complex work
  • Good communication skills (facilitation, listening, verbal, written, presentation, negotiation) to negotiate, agree and document contracts with internal and external customers and external service providers
