Job Title: Seismic Date Acquisition & Processing Supervisor

Requirements
The candidate must have/satisfy these Qualifications/Experience requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (2.1 or above) and an MSc degree in Geophysics or other relevant fields (Geology, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science). A PhD degree is an added advantage;
  • 15 years’ industry experience in full cycle Land Processing, standard geophysical software and GIS as applied to large seismic data sets, with 8 years of previous leadership experience (Processing Team Lead). Multi-component and Marine expertise would be a bonus;
  • Landmark ProMAX/SeisSpace software experience, with insight into how different modules/algorithms work;
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; good seismic eye to observe and fix data problems;
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to lead, motivate, and develop/mentor junior level processors;
  • Proven working relationships with Oil and Gas operators a bonus; and
  • The ability to:
    • Oversee seismic data processing, including 2D/3D/4D land, marine, both time and depth imaging;
    • Supervise qualified geoscientists of various levels of skills;
    • Interact daily with personnel executing processing flows, test evaluation, quality control and problem solving; resource management of CPU, disk, and personnel to ensure on-time products delivery;
    • Interact with Oil & Gas companies’ representatives; coordination of weekly updates and meeting planning; tracking, forecasting, and reporting accrued revenues on a monthly basis;
    • Organise Business Development personnel in writing proposals and planning workloads for projects;
    • Manage partners-based projects statuses and issues, personnel decisions, business strategies, workload and resource planning, new software development and upgrades, invoicing, timesheets, and expense reports; and
    • Provide hands-on participation in projects; understand projects objectives and risks; develop innovative solutions for efficient projects execution and effective team work; perform quality control; monitor and interpret geophysical data; manage clients on technical matters and expectations; and support technical field personnel to acquire the best dataset.
