Women Friendly Initiative (WFI) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to the improvement of the quality of life of particularly women, children and the youth. Since 2003, WFI have worked closely with key stakeholders to address disease burdens and social deprivations amongst these population through cutting edge, innovative and sustainable solutions.

As part of our new 5 - year strategy, we are re-structuring for more effectiveness to be able to expand the scale and scope of our work over the coming years in line with the Country context. It is for this reason that WFI seek applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position below:

Job Title: Director, Business Development and Strategy

Job Description
  • This is a senior management role with over sight for raising and managing funds from a diversified mix of local and international (private and public) sources including mass engagement, grant making private foundations and bilateral/ multilateral donors;
  • The holder of this role is expected to leverage our communication and campaign activities to achieve fund raising and advocacy/influencing outcomes that will bring real change and impact to our work in Nigeria.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A degree in the Health Sciences, Social Sciences or Communication Art.
  • A post graduate diploma/degree in Public Health or Business Management will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years cognate experience in an NGO, State or Federal Ministry of Health, or donor funded environment with expertise in the design, implementation, monitoring and reporting results of health and social enhancement programs is desired.
