We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Senior RF Planning and Optimization Engineer
Location: Lagos
Job Descriptions
- Traffic simulations, link budget planning, CPICH power, dimensioning, capacity planning and capacity expansion plan based on traffic forecast for short term and long term.
- Setting the specific RF parameters for the site to be integrated: RNC id, BTS id, MCC, MNC, LAC, RAC, SAC, CID, UARFCN frequency, scrambling code, T cell, neighbor
Requirements
- Knowledge in 2G Frequency planning including nominal cell planning, MAIO planning, Scrambling Code planning in 3G, Neighbor Planning
- Good Knowledge in Capacity planning in terms of license
- Experience in Network Forecast Planning in existing network in terms of Radio, TX & Core
- Knowledge in Power settings & Antenna configurations on 2G,3G & 4G Sites New site planning & analysis based on Site survey .
- Knowledge of RF design fundamentals, RF propagation behaviour and Model Tuning.
- Knowledge of 2G/ 3G/4G radio network audit process which includes configuration audits, parameters audit
- Experience in L3 analyzing.
- Knowledge on post processing and analysis tool (Planet, Atoll, TEMS, NEMO, Actix or equivalent).
- Knowledge in routine review of radio network Key Performance Indicators (KPI) such as CS/ PS drop call, CE Utilization/ Blocking, Code utilization, Handover, RAB setup success rate and call setup success rate, data throughput and QoS etc.
- Knowledge on process definition, high level design and low level design doc preparation.
Education and Skills
- B.SC or equivalent in Engineering.
- Good communication skills and attitude for knowledge sharing.
- Team Leadership, Planning and organization skills
- Reliable and efficient targeting for good quality.
- Analytical approach and problem solving skills.
- Should be familiar with Ericsson/Huawei OSS tools, reporting solution, counters & parameters and Feature implementation for 2G/3G/4G networks.
