Job Title: Filing Consultant
Location: Abuja
Project Description
- The consultant will be expected to ensure proper re-filing of Procurement records in Mercy Corps Nigeria Abuja in line with the Field Procurement Manual to ensure that all procurement files are stand alone and in a manner that will make retrieval easy.
- This consultancy will run for a maximum of three months from the date of engagement.
General Position Summary
- The consultant will be working mainly with the procurement team to scan, enter file records on excel sheet, replace file on the appropriate shelve as well as communicate missing to procurement staff and ensure procurement documents are complete in all files.
Deliverable and Job Responsibilities
- Scanning of all Procurement files and save on the Google drive
- Enter records of each file on an excel template
- Ensure proper arrangement of files in the appropriate storage location
- Based on the documents required for each procurement threshold, identify missing documents and ensure replace of such document.
Knowledge and Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Bookkeeping, Administration, Management or any relevant field.
- At least 2 years work experience with non-governmental organization (NGO)
- Fluency in reading and writing English language is required
- Previous experience with filing and organizational skills is required
Success Factor
- The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude. Ideally, S/he will have previous experience in working in large-scale emergency programs in insecure and conflict-affected contexts, willingness to be flexible and adjust schedule as per program needs.
- Mercy Corps team members represent the agency both during and outside work hours.
- Team members are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and respect local laws, customs and MC's policies, procedures, and values at all times and in all in-country venues.
