The Commonwealth is offering tuition-funded scholarships through the University of Nottingham School of Education, United Kingdom, in partnership with Corona Schools' Trust Council for teachers in public schools in Lagos, Nigeria, to study for the MA in Education (Flexible) by distance learning.
This is a modular course with a strong emphasis on practice-based learning in pursuit of professional development. It will be studied part-time over three years.
MA in Education (Flexible)
The MA in Education (Flexible) is a part-time, distance learning programme of professional enrichment for teachers. The course is suitable for any established teacher with access to a classroom, computer and the internet. It is focused on the improvement of individual teaching practice through critical reflection and action research.
Successful completion of this three year programme will lead to the award of a Master's Degree in Education (Flexible) [MA (Flexible)] of the University of Nottingham.

Qualification Requirements
Candidates are expected to have the minimum qualification requirements outlined below:
- Access to a classroom and day-to-day access to the internet via broadband or equivalent connection.
- Significant work experience in the Lagos State Public School sector and a demonstrable commitment to continuing to work in this sector in order to improve its quality.
- Graduates of an approved university or other institution of higher education, generally with at least a second class honours degree, or holding an approved professional qualification deemed equivalent to an honours degree.
- Commitment to course completion and to the constructive dissemination of their research findings.
