Total Nigeria Plc - It has come to the attention of the Total companies in Nigeria (including Total E&P Nigeria Limited (TEPNG), Total Upstream Nigeria Limited (TUPNI) and Total Nigeria PLC (TNPLC)) that letters offering employment in our companies are being issued by some fraudulent persons to unsuspecting members of the public within and outside Nigeria. This is to alert the general public to the fact that these employment letters did not emanate from any of the companies or their affiliates or related companies and are therefore fake, with a deliberate intention to mislead and deceive their victims.

We are particularly concerned that cash payments have been and are being demanded from these unsuspecting members of the public for work permit and immigration processing in furtherance of this fake employment.

It is important to state that none of the Total companies uses recruiting agencies that request or charge prospective employees any fees whatsoever (including any visa or immigration processing fees).

Our recruitment process is conducted free of charge by our Human Resources teams and involves the advertisement of the vacancies in Nigerian newspapers and where applicable, foreign newspapers and through our global recruiting website: http://www.total.com/en/candidates/join-us

We urge the general public to be wary in the event of receiving offers of employment or other matter from any individual or group claiming to represent TEPNG, TUPNI, TNPLC or any Total affiliate. Any person who responds to such offers or makes any payments in respect thereof does so at his or her own risk.
