Project Overview and Role

  • Palladium seeks Enterprise Development Director for an anticipated USAID-funded Nigeria opportunities in Agriculture Competitiveness Project.
Responsibilities
The activity will achieve this by promoting enterprise development:
  • Provides technical and management support to MSME level agribusiness;
  • Leverages and develops small, medium and larger scale agribusiness;
  • Designs and leads activities to improve target populations; access to finance, employment and business advisory services;
  • Strengthens business skills of target groups, and facilitates linkages along the value chains;
  • Master's degree in business, economics, marketing, finance, or other closely related field preferred;
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Business, Agribusiness, Agriculture, Food Safety/Processing, Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience working with USAID or another donor agency.
  • Seven years professional work experience in agribusiness development, marketing, and financial services, private sector development.
  • A bachelor's degree plus 12-15 years of experience in economic growth, enterprise development, access to finance would also be considered in lieu of a Master's Degree;
  • Experience in training, provision of technical assistance in marketing, business planning, or a technical area such as: food safety and processing, financial access, or agronomy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required for working with project staff and beneficiaries
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with limited guidance
  • Excellent communication skills are essential to write effectively and persuasively and be able to present information in a variety of settings and formats
  • Fluency in English required.
