Job Title: TX Edge Services Manager

Job Description:
- Ensure emergency maintenance is carried out within set targets resulting in minimum downtime and optimum performance.
- Ensure all O&M procedures are carried out as per the current guidelines.
- Ensure that Network expansion occurs as and when required.
- Ensure DXX/LX/Focus/Fiber/DWDM/ TE/MUX/DCE/ATM Node
- Ensure NMS operability 24/7 in NMC environment.

Reporting To: Senior Manager Transmission Services
Required Skills:
Minimum of 8 years work experience which includes:
- 5 years experience in a support environment with experience in –
- Fibre Optic TE, Satellite TE, CCITT7, DCME, ATM, Focus/LX & DXX experience
- 2 years Transmission Maintenance, Cross connect/Circuit mapping and configuration in a Telecoms environment with the primary focus on the peripheral TE multiplexer equipment
- NMS configuration and Operational experience
- Previous experience in a Team Leadership Role
Employment Status : Permanent
Qualification:
First degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Professional IT qualification MCSE, CCNP is required
