Due to internal expansion processes, they have decided to hire a Vblock Solution Architect Data center and Network Professional.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Overall technical architecture, design, and health of the Vblock
- Solutions Architects have the full support of and access to all VCE Professional Services Practices
- Deeply knowledgeable in all areas of the Vblock, expertly versed in VCE best practices
- Solutions Architects enable the customer to maximize the full capabilities of their Vblocks.
- Designing and operating multi-tenant infrastructure (IaaS & SaaS) in complex environments.
- Effectively manage converged environment deployments and their day-to-day operations in a demanding market.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Vblock
- Completed VCE Vblock Administration and Management training, assisted in customer Vblock build and deployment utilizing EMC UIM. Proficient with Cisco Nexus 1000v, able to deploy VEMs onto hosts and configure ready for use, have also completed the Nexus DCXN1K course.
Network
- Deployed and managed F5 load balancing (BIG-IP) and completed F5 LTM Advanced course. Confident with health monitor and iRule scripting (content filtering & manipulation etc).
Systems
- Managed VMware vSphere ESX & ESXi environments, experienced with common management tools & scripting. Managed server OS’s such as Windows 2003/2008 and Redhat Linux distributions (CentOS, Fedora etc).
Storage
- Completed EMC training for CLARiiON (incl. SnapView/MirrorView) and Celerra.
Experience:
Vblock
- Experienced in implementing many Vblock elements including Cisco UCS, VMware vSphere 4/5.x, EMC CLARiiON, EMC Celerra, EMC VNX, EMC UIM, Nexus switches etc.
Network
- Significant experience with managing large LAN and MAN networks, particularly in heterogeneous environments including Brocade, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet and F5. Knowledgeable in cross-platform management, using tools such as SolarWinds Orion for both monitoring and chargeback.
Compute
- Led design and integration of several Cisco UCS platforms, including physical installation and configuration ready for service, and performed day-to-day management/upgrades as necessary.
Virtualization
- Managed dual-cluster VMware ESXi (4.x & 5.x) environment comprising 150+ VMs day-to-day and experienced in troubleshooting network & storage related issues. Some experience of VMware vCloud Director & View 4.5 in a lab environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- B. Degree in Computer science or any related course
- Professional certifications would be of added advantage: VMware Certified Professional (VCP5) , Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), EMC Proven Professional (EMC SA), Brocade Certified Network Engineer (BCNE) and SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP ’09).
- Deployed and managed Celerra/CLARiiON unified systems in production, including provisioning, replication and maintenance tasks.
- Must have worked in the following industries: Service Provider, Systems Integration, Media and Technology
- Must have minimum six (6) years relevant experience
