Job description QC Coordinator
- Prepare and issue for use, Project Quality Plans, which meet the expectations and needs of the Project and the overall business operational and quality needs.
- Manage the review and were applicable with other Project QA/QC Managers the review for adequacy of Contractor / Subcontractor ITP's to meet the project specific & contractual needs.
- Review inspection reports and records of Quality Control carried out by Execution Contractor.
- Assess adequacy and competence of Execution Contractor Quality. Recommends and leads efforts for establishing and sustaining supplier improvement processes.
- Identify and resolve exceptions, root cause analysis and corrective actions/recovery plan to Core Team through defined communication plan.
- Familiarity of Elastomeric materials and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to select, apply and demonstrate the use of Quality tools from Total Quality Management disciplines.
- Provide results and how tools were used for moving the quality needle.
- Can assess, develop and lead Supplier performance improvement.
- Understanding and ability to select, use and recommend measuring tools, equipment and instruments.
- Performs inspection of various operations activities and of supplier produced parts.
- Generates reports of conditions found during inspection activities, notifies Supplier Quality management and internal customers as requested of significant problems, and completes documentation necessary to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.
- Responsible for performing quality evaluations on standard and routine processes and products according to engineering drawings, specifications, prescribed methods, and instructions.
- Identifies and reports non-conformance to known standards using various measuring and testing methods. Onsite supplier quality systems assessment and evaluation. Communicate identified process/procedure concerns to Core Teams and broader organization as necessary.
- Provide supplier recommendations for specific projects and strategy fulfillment. Measure baseline and quantify improvements.
- Distribute improvements to broader organization as needed
- Facilitate and assist with process improvement implementation.
- Monitor future state to ensure the delivery of expected results and benefits.
- Stabilize process/quality systems for new supplier.
- Facilitate training and prior lessons learned. Provide input for RFQ analysis and recommend awards to Core Team as needed.
- Provide timely technical assistance in regards to supplier quality systems and inspection through FAS, initial production, and transition to stable supply chain.
- Monitor/co-manage supplier performance for assigned suppliers to ensure continuous supply chain stability with the broader organization.
Requirements QC Coordinator
- Education:- Engineering/Science Technician or Diplomate with knowledge of Lifting Equipment, Mechanical, Inspection, Metallurgy, Welding, and Fabrication.
- Should be having minimum 9 - 15 years of experience in hanlding similar role. ASNT Level II certified inspector and also DSI API Spec
- ISO codes and standards (9001, 14001)
- Recognized qualification in Lifting (eg NSL) and in basic NDT Techniques (ultrasonic; radiography; magnetic particle; dye penetrant inspection)
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
