Job Title: General Manager

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
The General Manager will be responsible for the general business administration of the company that is involved mainly in road construction. The functions of this role inlude but not limited to:
  • Supervising the preparation and submission of tenders.
  • Follow-up tenders with Government agencies, ministries, and officials.
  • Plan for project execution.
  • Budget projects.
  • Supervise staff recruitment.
  • Administration of accounts.
  • Administration of equipment fleet.
  • General administration of asphalt plant.
  • Purchasing of raw material.
  • Supervision of project execution.
  • Follow-up/coordination with project consultants.
  • Follow-up of payment collections from Government agencies, ministries, etc.
  • All other related tasks.

Qualifications and Experience
  • University/College degree, with specific training and background in management. A graduate degree would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in industry with additional related work experience
  • High energy and commitment to business results
  • Strong consultative, communication and influence skills
  • Excellent general business acumen, demonstrated analytical and creative thinking ability
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office
  • Strong operational knowledge/experience and skills
