Job description
Reporting to the Country Manager, the Commercial Manager will be responsible for establishing and expanding current customer base and product range in Nigeria through active market research.

Responsibilities
The main responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Establishing and expanding current customer base and product range in Nigeria through active market research
  • Selling to customers at the best possible prices and commercial conditions to minimize risk and maximize market presence and returns for the company
  • Active follow-up of the orders, from the time of finalizing the order until delivery and payment have been completed
  • Daily reporting to senior management
  • Dealing with all questions, enquiries, suggestions and complaints from customers
  • Develop sales strategies for company's core products in Nigeria based on thorough market knowledge of clients and competitors
  • Detecting market opportunities and respond actively to client's needs
  • Analyze sales and market information, and turn it into active sales opportunities for the company
  • Contract negotiations
  • Developing or implementing internal systems for logistics, commercial and financial information flow
  • Establish own sales targets in the yearly budget per market/product and take up responsibility to achieve these during the year


Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 10 years experience in commercial management, preferably in the logistics industry
  • Problem Solving skills
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Highly flexible and can adapt to a fast pace environment
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Good leadership qualities
