Job Title: Director, Technical Operations


Ref: PSE 304

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
  • The Director of Technical Operations establishes the organization’s technical vision and is responsible for the management of all technical services operations including implementing and managing processes and procedures to ensure efficiency in projects, project profitability, efficient resource allocation and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide overall guidance, leadership support and strategic direction in the execution of technical functions and activities
  • Champion the development of technical and/or expansion strategy in alignment with corporate goals
  • Drive operations budgeting and planning. Ensure adherence to budgets, plans and performance requirements.
  • Establish and monitor performance reporting systems
  • Oversee the activities of the technical department and ensures alignment with underlying goals and objectives
  • Ensure the efficient management of power infrastructures to support quality service delivery and operational requirements
  • Ensure the implementation of effective and enabling policies, procedures and processes; review and improve as required.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure the availability of necessary resources and infrastructure to support operations
  • Direct and manage the completion of power infrastructure and maintenance according to the implementation plan and strategy
  • Report on technical operations as required
  • Establish technical standards and ensure adherence to them
  • Optimize infrastructure assets to satisfy internal financial targets

Requirements
  • Minimum of a 1st degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or any relevant course
  • Postgraduate degree in a related field or an MBA will be an added advantage
  • Experience in building, operation and maintenance of power infrastructure
  • Minimum of 12 years relevant experience with at least 5 years at senior management level
