Job Title: Instrument & Control Technician

Responsibilities
- Reports to the I&C Engineer, the I&C Technicians will install, test, calibrate and maintain a variety of measuring and controlling instruments including plant process control, monitoring, safety and communication systems.
- Inspect and test the operation of instruments and systems
- Maintain DCS and PLC control systems and associated equipments
- Diagnose and rectify problems with plant control, process instrumentation and electrical systems
- Undertake minor logic changes in the DCS and PLC control system as required by control, process and operations engineers.
- Maintain records on plant maintenance and participate in plant maintenance programs
- Maintain documentation for control systems and instrumentation
- Manage inventory of parts and supplies for the plant control system
- Conduct analysis on operating conditions and trends for optimizing plant performance
- Install control and measurement instruments and record calibration data
Requirements
- Minimum of OND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years working experience as an I&C Technician in a power plant or similar operation
- Field instruments maintenance and troubleshooting experience
- Familiarity with standard maintenance practices
