Job Position: Supervisor-Maintenance Program and Reliability (BOEING 737 AND AIRBUS 330/340)
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Description
- Ensures the applicable Maintenance Program is issued and kept current consistent with manufacturers recommendations, commensurate with Arik Air / other operators experience, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. In addition, ensures the production of the relevant Reliability Reports.
Working relationships
- Relates with the AVP Engineering and Planning, Engineering Manager, AVP Maintenance, Maintenance Service Providers, MROs, Supply Chain etc.
Responsibilities
- Initiates and coordinates revisions to maintenance programs in order to keep them current with manufacturers recommendations and be in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Reviews incoming service bulletins, service letters, all operators telex, airworthiness directives and other manufactures/Authority data and initiates appropriate assignments.
- Co-ordinates with maintenance planners to ensure that maintenance tasks / schedules provide the required and adequate maintenance details and assures timely implementation.
- Responds to incoming requests from other departments for engineering technical assistance and data by preparing required engineering documentation, reports and other data as necessary.
- Develops modification, alteration, repair specifications for aircraft and components when required.
- Review / co-ordinate the development of the implementation plans in response to airworthiness directives and approved manufacturers service bulletins and assure its timely implementation.
- Co-ordinates work with other units for determination of Engineering Order standards for material ordering, work card preparation, kit availability etc.
- Collects and analyzes reliability data and ensures preparation of periodic
- Systems and Components Reliability reports (i.e. monthly or annual).
- Reviews post check packages and prepares appropriate reports.
- Reviews the effectiveness of the applicable maintenance program and draws appropriate recommendations for revisions in order to enhance safety, reliability and economics.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Engineering Manager.
- A thorough understanding of manufacturers and regulatory authorities requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- B.Sc Degree in an Engineering field is absolute essential or a holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License.
- 3-5 years of airline experience of work within an airline engineering unit and acting as
- Maintenance Program & Reliability Engineer in at least one type from B737 and Airbus 330/340.
- Excellent communication skills-verbal and written.
- Ability to meet assigned project deadlines with self directed decision making confidence.
- Excellent organizational / managerial skills & Good Team Player
- High standard of computer literacy
