The Federal University, Otuoke is one of the nine universities established by the Federal Government on February, 2011, with a mandate to increase access to University education in all the States of the Country, promote quality tertiary education and have a focus on regional issues in education and research. It is located in Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area in Bayelsa State.

It commenced academic activities in October 2012, offering courses in the Arts, Social Sciences, Life and Physical sciences, Management Sciences and Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

Qualification and Experience
Candidate for this post must:
  • Posses MB.BS with Fifteen (15) years of post-registration experience;
  • Specialist/fellow consultant with Eight years post qualification experience;
  • Not be more than Sixty (60) years on assumption of duty; and
  • Be computer literate.
The Candidate
  • The Candidate should be abreast with current developments in tropical medicine and the management of health problems of young adults.
  • The candidate should be aware of the workings of NHIS
Salary and Conditions of Services
The salary and conditions of service of the University Director of Medical Services shall be as obtainable in Federal Universities and as determined from time to time by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
