Job Title: Head, Risk Management Executive
Location: Any City, Nigeria
Duties
- Develop risk management framework and monitor risk maturity
- Develop, enhance and maintain the company’s enterprise risk management processes for effective business operations
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders within the company in order to understand their business objectives and the distinct risks to achieving these objectives
- Stay abreast of internal and external developments that may impact the Group’s risk profile and make internal changes as appropriate
- Plan and facilitate risk workshops to help the business identify its principal risks
- Produce high quality Executive and Board level risk reports
- Assist with assessment of the Group’s principal risks, and other risk related content for the Group’s Annual Report and Accounts
- Provide advice on how to ensure risks are properly identified and evaluated and appropriate controls built in
- Periodic assessment of adherence to risk management procedures Establishing and quantifying the organisation’s frisk appetite’, i.e. the level of risk we are prepared to accept
- Corporate governance involving external risk reporting to stakeholders
- Carrying out processes to limit risks and prepare for if things go wrong
- Conducting audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors.
Qualifications
- A first degree in humanities or social sciences or a related field.
- A Master’s Degree will be an advantage.
Professional Membership
- An insurance professional certification will be preferable.
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years extensive experience in Risk Management and 3 years in Senior Management role
- A broad background in risk and Insurance
- Self-starter, motivated, enthusiastic and has excellent collaboration skills
- Diverse risk management experience in Insurance or Financial services.
