The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people. NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, emergency food security, and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Service Support - Cook/Cleaner
Location: Monguno, Borno
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
- Promote and share ideas for improvement
- Perform according to the work and development plan
- Report snags to Admin Officer and follow up until repaired
- Tidy, dust, empty and wash out bins in designated offices/guesthouses and rooms.
- Clean washrooms and any other assigned facilities.
- Wash kitchen utensils and provide laundry services for the guesthouses occupants
- Keep a check on cleaning materials/items, office/guesthouse supplies and re-order via the Admin Officer.
- Lock and ensure items in assigned work areas and building are secure.
- Prepare meals/teas for guesthouse guesthouses
- Prepare teas and other complementary bites for staff meetings and visitors
- Undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 years’ experience from working as a Cleaner or Cook
- Documented and traceable references
- Basic understanding of verbal and written English
