Job Title: Segment Analyst

Location: Lagos
Division: CEO’s/Mobile Financial Services

Core Purpose of the Job
  • To drive Customer adoption, usage, Retention for mobile financial services and churn intelligence information on an on-going basis, (in relation to benchmarking and competition) and provide insight to MFS Segment Management.
Job Summary
Evaluate performance measured against the following areas:
  • Number of  MFS transactions performed by customers
  • Identify a new opportunity/enhancement
  • Develop and secure approvals for concept notes to feed into  Product Development
  • Post Go- to- Market intelligence gathering and insight
  • Customer Lifecycle management.
  • Collect, analyze and interpret a wide variety of MFS data and develop weekly /monthly reports in preparation for business review meetings.
  • Engage the regions to follow up on implementation of MFS Initiatives.
  • Provide and maintain a strong and reliable database to facilitate tracking and improvement of MFS services and providing information enabling business decisions to be made.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year to date (YTD) measurement reports.
  • Provide functional support to Segment Manager, Mass Market
  • Report and analyze MFS Activations, Customer Retention /Churn trends and activity plans.
  • Establish and maintain contact with external intelligence both locally and internationally, and verify the authenticity of the information received
  • Analyze relevant best practices and provide recommendations to Segment Manager, Mass Market.
  • Continuously seek self-professional development to sharpen skills and capabilities in a versatile and evolving digital landscape.
  • Foster active collaboration and relationships with employees across all levels and divisions.
Education
  • First Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or any related discipline
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of Electronic Payment and Mobile Financial Services;
  • 1 year experience in sales or segment management as well as reporting and analytic skills
  • Experience in Telecom/Banking/Technology Company/FMCG
  • Experience using Data Mining Tools
  • Telecoms experience would be an added advantage
Job Conditions
  • Normal MTNN working conditions.
  • May be required to work extended hours
