Job Title: Health Assistant
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Job Summary
- The Health Assistant will be based in Maiduguri, Borno state, with frequent travel to the field. He/she will report to the Health Officer and also provide support in implementing community health groups (CHGs) within the population for each health facility targeted by CMAM.
- In collaboration with the community volunteers and as needed the health facility staffs, mobilizes the community for nutrition activities (detection of case, referral, follow-up).
- The Health Assistant will support the community volunteers in building up of the community mobilization network system in communities and follow-up implementation of activities.
Requirements
The successful candidate will;
- Have a minimum of Higher National Diploma in Nursing or health related field.
- Have the ability and willingness to frequently travel to villages and stay at the field
- Have the willingness and capacity to be flexible, supervise and coach.
- Be professional, motivated and culturally sensitive.
- Have and project management and representation competencies.
- Have excellent Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word).
- Be willing and able to be based and travel regularly within remote areas, where services are limited.
- Be Fluent in English and other local language (Hausa, Kanuri).
