Description
- Manage the safe and efficient development, exploration and appraisal
- wells in water-depths up t1000ft, offshore Nigeria.
- Operations involve the following special challenges:
- High pressure / narrow margin drilling techniques,
- High angle / extended reach drilling,
- Subsea completions and well testing,
- Third party staff, service and equipment quality,
- Complex supply chain and logistics
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years relevant experience, of which at least 5 in a similar position
- Knowledge of onshore and jack-up operations would be beneficial.
- Previous Nigerian / West African experience is advantageous.
- Technical / engineering qualification preferred.
- BOSIET offshore firefighting and survival or equivalent, including HUET.
- IWCF sub sea well control at supervisory level or equivalent.
- Exemplary HSE leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading effectively in a multi-cultural society.
- Sound knowledge of drilling engineering and international industry standards, ideally acquired while working for a large international operator.
- Good organizational and project management skills, ensuring the efficient application of the companys well delivery and commercial processes.
- Contracts and contractor management.
Terms & Conditions Drilling Superintendent (Semi Sub)
- Competitive day rate, paid overseas by first week of the following month, net of
- Nigerian Income Tax. Travel days paid.
- Contract Duration: 12 months, renewable based on performance.
- Project Duration: 1 year. Upon completion, reassignment to other projects is a possibility
- Based in Lagos, Nigeria. 28/28 rotation
