Adexen Recruitment Agency is looking for a Business Development Manager for a leading provider of marine services to major Oil & Gas companies both locally and internationally.

Job description
  • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating leads and new business deals through developing existing and new business relationships within the global client organization. The candidate will work closely with the commercial sales manager to provide the necessary linkage between customer requirements and service offerings.
  • The candidate will report directly to the Commercial Manager and be based in Lagos.

Responsibilities
  • Boost business and market development through developing, adjusting and successfully implementing sales and market concepts
  • Pro-actively identify and approach new customers and business opportunities
  • Establish and keep relationship with key clients which are the Oil and Gas companies EPC contractors
  • Initiate and coordinate meetings and events related to business promotion
  • Agree with Management the strategy to achieve sales targets and follow the set strategy punctually
  • Manage the proposal development process and maintain the time-lines for the proposal teams
  • Manage the execution of services Project control including invoicing and realization within the time limit
  • Draw up the technical and economic offer tendering negotiation with clients
  • Reflecting leadership qualities, guidance and integrity to set model and example for all subordinates and encouraging adherence to professional code of ethics and moralities
  • Willingness to travel

Qualifications and Experience
  • University degree, preferably in engineering, sciences and/or finance. MBA is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 5-8 years proven experience in the maritime or oil and gas industry with strong understanding of business development, project management, joint and new venture activities
  • Ability to make fast and proper decisions
  • Experience in market segmentation, forecasting, marketing operations planning and development
  • Strong negotiation Skills is essential
  • Must be creative, Innovative, honest and hardworking
  • Must be team Oriented and outgoing
  • Strong target orientation
  • Dynamic, entrepreneurial and creative
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure, resilient and tenacious
