We are recruiting to fill the following position

Responsibilities
  • This experienced professional will be supporting asset integrity and delivery projects from the front-end through execution and commissioning towards value maximisation. She/he will be responsible for delivering safe,cost/schedule effective and efficient projects; and will be looked up to as important contributors to ongoing projects realization and strategic cost leadership practices within the Deep water Projects organisation. We therefore need competent Nigerian Engineering professionals with deepwater experience who have spent at least 8 years (post-NYSC) focused on practicing the discipline
  • Ensure that all deliverables,including associated responsibilities and controls as defined in the project subsea control assurance framework are carried out.
  • Contributes efficiently to subsea hardware engineering and design activities related to deepwater projects,studies,proposals,estimates and / or work improvement programs. All work must meet the technical requirements and industries standards.
  • Seek and analyze design alternatives to resulting in good and reliable design,meet safety standards and as well as constructability of the design.
  • Supports all the co-ordination and execution of the Subsea Hardware Engineering work scope associated with Project Delivery,including safety and environmental aspects of the subsea hardware scope of work.
  • Carry out technical and execution planning verification of the project’s Subsea Hardware to ensure seamless integration in design,installation,and commissioning. Leads the subsea hardware related aspects of commissioning,start-up and test runs.
  • Support creation of estimates for project cost and prepares project master schedule,select and determines the applicable engineering / construction standards,and material and equipment specifications.
  • Undertake design calculations for subsea hardware.
  • Prepare subsea hardware material selection recommendations.
  • Acts as the Lead in screening meetings and communication with other discipline to verify and ensure that subsea hardware related requirements are well understood and properly considered by all concerned.
  • Prepares maintenances and operation manuals.

Requirements
  • A Bachelors’ degree or similar degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Marine, Construction Management, Offshore Engineering, or related disciplines, in addition to at least 8 years work experience post-NYSC
  • Working knowledge of a broad range of relevant engineering systems, tools and practices
  • Strong technical background with understanding of relevant Engineering processes and drawings
  • A strong Commitment to HSSE.
  • Should have strong team-working skills.
  • Ability to deal with multiple, often conflicting, goals and priorities.
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team comprising Shell, Co-venturer, government and contractor persons.
  • High degree of self motivation with a proven track record in achieving stretching personal and business goals.
  • Demonstrate ability to mentor and coach less experienced staff.
  • Very good communication skills
  • Commitment to making a career in the discipline.
